The Blades slipped to a disappointing home loss against Luton Town on Saturday afternoon.

Carlton Morris scored the only goal of the game as United failed to build on the impressive midweek success at Reading.

United made two changes for the home clash against the Hatters, with Ahmedhodžić and Fleck recalled to the starting XI at the expense of Basham and McAtee, who dropped to the bench.

After a slow start, it was Bogle who tested Horvath with a back post header from Lowe's cross following a patient build-up. The right-wing-back was then cautioned for a foul on Mpanzu and after an awkward landing, the Luton midfielder limped off.

The visitors were pushing United back and forced a flurry of corners, with Berry firing over from a deep cross from the right by Drameh. The last action of the half saw Ahmedhodžić draw a comfortable save from Horvath from Norwood's corner.

The second half got off to the worst possible start for the Blades as MORRIS opening the scoring on 53 minutes getting across his marker to convert from Adebayo's low cross to the near post, after he'd got the better of Fleck.

There were just over 20 minutes remaining when United made a double change, as Doyle and McAtee replaced Norwood and Robinson, but it wasn't until the final ten minutes that United seriously threatened a goal.

McBurnie saw two headers saved in quick succession by Horvath, whilst Woodrow dragged an effort wide at the other end. In the final minute of the 90, Horvath fumbled a corner, a defender reacted quickest before substitute Doyle recycled the ball but Horvath stood big to deny Egan with an instinct save.

Five minutes of added time were signalled and United threw the ball into the box on numerous occasions, but another McBurnie header that went wide from McAtee's cross was the last chance, as Lowe was cautioned moments before referee Doughty brought an end to the game.
