Femi Seriki will further his development with a loan spell in the Sky Bet Championship during the second half of the campaign, having penned a new deal at Bramall Lane.

The 21-year-old who has made appearances in both the EFL Cup and FA Cup this season has agreed new terms on a contract that will run until 2027 and has joined neighbours Rotherham United on-loan for the rest of the season.

Having previously had loan stints with Beerschot, Boston United and Rochdale, this will be Seriki's first prolonged experience of second tier football, having made his United debut against Newcastle United in the Premier League in May 2021.
