Amissah joined United in 2018 from Borussia Dortmund after a successful youth team career in Germany.

He cut his teeth with loans at Guiseley and Spennymoor Town, before he returned to S2 and made his league debut in the Championship last season against Luton Town.

In January, Amissah went on loan to Burton Albion and over the summer represented Ghana in the U23 Africa Cup of Nations.
