Leicester-born Thomas joined the Foxes Academy in 2008 and made his professional debut against the Blades at the King Power Stadium in July 2020, claiming an assist for the first goal scored by Ayoze Perez following an injury to Ben Chilwell.
Having penned a long-term deal with City, Thomas made his European debut in a Europa League success over AEK Athens in October 2020 and scored his first senior goal in 3-3 draw against Braga the following month.
In May 2021, the 22-year-old netted his first Premier League strike as Leicester defeated Manchester United 2-1 at Old Trafford and four days later, he started the FA Cup final against Chelsea as the Foxes won the famous competition for the first time in their history.
Thomas has been a regular for England through the youth age groups and has 15 caps to his name for the U21s, most recently playing his part in the European Championship success this summer, as England beat Spain in the final.
Thomas has made 85 appearances for his hometown club in all competitions and became United's ninth capture of the summer transfer window.
