Alyssa Aherne joined the Blades on a season-long loan deal from Barclays Women's Super League side Manchester United in September 2024.

The young forward has enjoyed loan spells at Burnley and Everton and has also appeared for England at various youth age group levels.

Aherne made her senior debut against the Blades back in December 2022 and scored twice for the Reds in the FA Girls' Youth Cup final.
